You pick which shape you want, and then tell how big/small to make the shape.
Not as simple as it sounds.

I didn't say they weren't custom, but there isn't nearly as much freedom with the big brands grinding on regular cores compared to something like an LSM billet cam ($$$). I wonder how much leeway they give him with a regular $300 custom grind because I'd imagine straying from the lobe catalog gets very expensive.
His answer basically explained that its better on valvetrain for a mellower lobe with a 1.6 rocker vs a aggressive lobe with 1.5 rocker for given lift to make them equal, also the issue of how much the lifter moves etc.
So basically, who thinks i should gamble and hope these jegs 1.6 sa rockers +2 scorpion 1.6 sa rockers will survive?

Ok I agree with you. I just was thinking that Lloyd had more freedom with lobe size ect. With that being said it most likely the cam manufacturer. Or being able to get a custom done where you say this is what I want and it is made for you. And your Wright it's cost is substantially different. They are both are still custom cams.

If this isn't gonna happen for awhile, I would save up and get rockers that won't give you doubts/worries every time you go WOT.
