Hey look, I caught a LS Camaro.........
Actually, @joelster I have no idea what kind of catfish this is. Almost has the body of a channel but does NT have the coloring or mouth. Anyway, pulled him and two marginally smaller ones out of our development pond today. My wife pulled about a 2lb Largemouth but she tossed him back before I could snag a pic.

No clue on catfish. I've never caught one before in my life, but I'm going to try this year. The ones we have around here are channel cats and they only bite at night from what I'm told.
I caught some big bass a few weeks ago:

Dude!!!! He was a HUGE fish for such a small pond. My wife caught one that was probably 16-18" long on Friday evening, but he shook the panfish hook she had him on as she was pulling him over the bank of the pond.
I really have been racking my brain over what kind of catfish these are. They're unlike anything I've ever seen. No bullheads because they're just too big, but definitely not channel or blue either, and certainly not flatheads.

I looked at Indiana's catfish species and they have 4 different kinds. Yours looks like a flathead.

It's NOT a flathead as every one I've caught has had a forked tail, which flatheads do not. I initially thought the same as you did. Plus it has an overbite, unlike the flatheads underbite.

Probably just a dark channel cat then. Or a mammoth bullhead!

Google showed a few blue cat's that dark plus the over bite and forked tail.

I'm officially on the Pro-Staff for the Lehigh Fishing Company. The owner contacted me last week to tell me. I'm pumped! Basically I get a nice discount on their rods, in return for promoting the brand, and generating sales. Every sale I get a tiny commision, and anyone I refer also gets a small discount. The rods are hand-made at his shop, and they are carbon fiber. They are insanely light, very strong, and very sensitive. You guys already know those benefits of carbon fiber, but another aspect is that depending on the weave and the resin you can make it however compliant you want. Basically he can have each rod have whatever amount of flex he desires. Here is a video of him making an ice fishing rod.

The ice fishing rods are $74, spinning rods are $229-$319, and the fly rods are $439-$565

I headed out today and landed a few smallmouth bass and noticed a few big carp in a pool. I hopped in my truck and bought some canned corn. returned to the spot, chummed the water for 5 minutes and landed this guy on my ultralight:
