Eh, screw it... done...

Car is all done. Ready to do all that you want. You fit in a vette, it is clean, well built, run at the drag or auto X, stick, right color (my choice) :) Actually the car is a steal. If I had the extra space I would snatch it up.
Ok... the solid engine and trans are in place....
Send car to me for custom paint...
Send to someone else to cage the car....
Someone else to install racing seats....
Someone to modify suspension......
Someone to upgrade the rear shafts....
Someone to beef up brakes....
You see where I am going with this right.... you couldn't duplicate a solid drivetrain in a car you pick up as a roller for what that car costs running and driving.
Ok everyone... Ive been doing alot of thinking.... and Im set on starting with a light car.... and maybe making it lighter (if possible).
Im down to a Datsun 240 or 280 , fiero or a miata....
I know miatas are girly cars, but there are a few body kits that replace or cover panels that can really make them look slick. And I have always been a fan of fieros (Im leaning heavily towards one of the fastback GTs)....
I want the motor and swap as simple as possible, so that is why I still do not want Fuel Injection or an Opti or a computer (unless someone can tell me where it will be a huge advantage to go through the headach) . MY thought is with no opti, I wont have to worry about getting to it inside such a tight set up if/when it has issues.
Interior will be minimal... No carpet... racing seats (fixed on the passenger side) slide on the drivers side... Guages and a cage....
Brakes...BIG and LIGHT.... and suspension-something half way between drag and auto x.
Two sets of wheels... skinny fat set up for street and drag , and large low profiles for street and auto cross.
NOW, I need to go test drive one of each... I have to be able to fit in there with room to spare.....(cage).
Again, Im not racing to get one or have this done, but Im so glad to see so many on board....and I want to make this HAPPEN.
What does everyone think? Opinions? Thoughts?
I like the fiero idea. Keep it in the family (GM)
I still honestly pull for a 240/260/280z. Light weight, sporty, and they look awesome. Plus the fact they came with inline 6s they have plenty of room under the bonnet. But I am biased as I've always wanted to build a v8 swapped datsun.
I think im leaning towards a fiero...... I really like the mid engine rwd platform idea.. and I think with a v8 LT1 back there, the traction will be awesome and the car will do well in autox....
Several people have told me how roomy they are inside, however before committing, I need to find one and see for myself...
