Phase 2, which i had to do on my bird, was get a ratchet strap, wrap one end around rear, other end hooked to crossmember, pull as tight as possible by hand, then tighten with ratchet thingy, and voilaQuote:

I used a BF dead blow hammer and gave it a hand full of love taps, mine didn't line up well either but you can muscle it in there. No biggie, you're doing fine!
Also don't tighten anything up until they're all in, every little bit of wiggle helps.
