this past weekend i got the scavenge pump installed and plumbed along with temporary cooling system. fired it off and pretty sure 110% my fault i caused the turbo to leak oil into both sides of the turbo. i figured i would let it run for a min or 2 to get oil in the return line full so the pump would easily prime and scavenge (supposed to be self-priming). may have waited too long because then oil was blowing out of the exhaust all over my garage, and had a minor amount of oil in the compressor side of turbo/elbow off turbo and a teaspoon size puddle in the charge pipe.
i have a hard 10an 90 off the bottom of the turbo, a few are saying this is a no-no, yet plenty of rear mount/low mount guys use the same fitting arrangement without issue. other possibility is my cold oil pressure is too high (80ish psi), vs racing said i can run a 0.060-0.065 restrictor as well. it was late sunday, it stopped smoking and cleared up once it was hot, but there was already a mess in the downpipe/chargepipe. i did verify pump direction etc.
