I didnt. Turned it on and it went into a loop saying acpi bios fail and restarting. Apparently the problem with the 208 bios. Tried to downgrade to the stable 207 but the system wouldnt allow it. So i tried to edit the build date on the 207 so it will think its newer and allow the flash but no go. Downloaded 4 bios editting programs and not one worked with this bios. So my option now is i have to make a dos boot file on a flashdrive. Install a program on the flashdrive as well as rename the bios file bios.bin. Then if the pc lets me boot in dos mode and downgrade the bios. If that doesnt work i will have to get a windows 7 or 8 disk and i dont remember off hand but bypass everything and reinstall windows which will lose the models etc that ive been doing as i hadnt gotten around to backing them up yet. As well as logos and anything else on the pc. Its pretty irritating because its barely a month old. Was going to contact asus about the issue but from what ive read they inform you to downgrade then when the laptop wont let you they stop responding. Some customer service there...Quote:
