those wheels didn't have the bowling ball covers. the wheels with the bowling ball covers had special cuts in them that the bb covers hooked to. those wheels go for $1500+ with bowling ball covers. most of the 15" wheels with bowling ball caps were 1982 cars, very few 83's had them. my wheels were originally unpainted but were a bit dull so we painted them black to make them look like the bowling ball caps.
FWIW i found a NOS set of bowling ball caps at mecum a few weeks ago. they wanted $75 each for them. they were sitting out and i knew exactly what they were lol. i didn't buy them since i had no use for them but it was ironic that they were just sitting at a GM parts table
