My guess is mommy and daddy finally put their feet down. i think they dont need another son living with them forever .....till he pays off his car...like the brother and the viper.

or maybe the reality of the cost of fixing the things wrong with it after spending his entire education savings became reality.

my guess is he paid 7-7500 for it..because "racecar" and he is gonna buffer the 1 k to make money...or negotiation.
