Keep an eye on eBay for roller SBC cams. I got my cc304 on eBay for $110 brand new although it's for a TPI car. Same lobes with the addition of a fuel pump lobe that's not used... all it needs to be used in the LT is a longer cam dowel and the center bore needs to be machined a little bigger for vented opti.
I have a cc304 harner gave me. I dont have to worry about the center bore or longer dowel as i have a spline drive vented cap opti.Quote:

Yeah it is pretty wimpy. I'm only running it because heavy car for towing and to preserve the bottom end a little more. The 1.7 rockers should wake it up a little so it'll be more like a xfi465.
I'm just saying keep an eye out for those deals, they're out there...
