Lets see some street launches from the rear
went to the track last night. nothing super great to write about besides the sway bar worked car went straight, and the shocks/coilovers worked.
went to put car in trailer, battery dead. OK wtf. rip battery out of the vert, car starts fine so load it up.
ran 2 na passes and was 11.58 and 11.51. car felt lazy in 2nd, almost like I lifted but I didnt. thought my wideband was acting up so ignored the data (was solo with the kids so juggling that too).
begged fiance to bring the jets and a bottle, put the 150 jets in and made a pass. went 10.61 on a 0.8 second ramp 25-100%. played with the fuel but noticed not only did wideband walk lean as hell in 2nd, the narrow band did too on bank 2.
I added 2.5% fuel on the ve from 90-100kpa/3000rpm up, and changed the pe adder, took out the ramp, so it was basically a wot switch 150 shot leave on all of it and it went 10.44.
so yea, have some work to do. think now since the suspension is working it's bogging the converter and I gotta just hit it harder. but I wanna go over all plugs/wires again. may update the coils and make new wires, check injectors too to try to understand this lean issue. the few drives and pulls ive done on the street na it was 12.8-13.2 like it should be, so confused

Able to check if fuel pressure is remaining sufficient?
I have a camera mount for the roll bar. Set it up to record the gauge.
Attachment 40721
the autometer gauge controller has been dead for a bit. its not fuel pressure related. its looking like i have a vacuum leak possibly based on my map value being 3-5kpa higher at idle over feb's logs. before was 72-75kpa friday night was 75-79kpa.
what is frustrating is 2 years ago on the same jets in a single nozzle infront of tb, LT4 intake went 10.34 at 126.6mph, friday same jet on the super vic with the billet crossbar fogger it goes 10.44 at 131mph. picked up 5mph but slowed down everywhere a tenth.
Damn.... that sensor is $138 from Autometer, and the six product reviews all indicate it has VERY a short life. Are you sure it's the sender? There is an electronic interface box above the lower dash closeout panel, passenger side where the wire comes thru the grommet behind the PCM.
My first AutoMeter fuel pressure gauge was mechanical, with an "isolator" at the firewall, so the only fluid inside the passenger compartment was (as I recall) propylene glycol. Wasn't in service more than a few weeks, and the isolator failed, allowing fuel to get into the passenger compartment tubing. AutoMeter replaced the entire setup with the electronic sender/gauge package, and gave me full credit for the mechanical setup. They recalled the pressure isolator.
Make you wonder how good their stuff is.
I'm not gonna buy more gauges before going to holley efi, since then it will all be in the screen.
I really think it's a vacuum leak and I think I know exactly where. I will report back tonight around 11 after I smoke test it.
the only other thing is I think it hooks hard enough to bog now, so I gotta hit it harder. I mean it's definitely making more power somewhere as mph was up 2 in the eighth and 5 in the quarter over 2 years ago, and was up 1 and 4 over fall on the vic efi low rise

so we found a leak when we smoke tested, both with and without tb (using engine lift plate as a block off) it appears the loctite 620 retaining compound did not set well along the sides of the crossbar to intake manifold. with that, the loctite DID cure enough on the bottom to hold the plate in, it will NOT move lol.
so first just trying to goop some seals all gasoline resistant contact cement on the sides. I saw a waft of smoke from somewhere else but couldn't really tell where, I think it was carry-over from it coming out of the plate. only saw it once.
we used soapy bubbles and dry shot the plate with nitrous, sure enough it was bubbling out of the top right side.
I also ordered stuff for new plug wires, and I may put the original ls1 coils back on to "freshen" the ignition system. then lash it.
@Injuneer I'm trying to go to island again Sunday
