Laptop mobo could easily run you up to almost $200, they aren't cheap like desktop mobos usually. :(

its not the hole mobo, the charging port on the mobo needs to be swapped out, un-soldered and re-soldered.

Got the call today. Engine is done and ready to be picked up. My dad is going to get it for me tomorrow. I'm hoping to chip away at it tomorrow and wednesday night so I can drop it in Sunday.
