Not bad. It pops some, it is a 40 after all, but the m&p was designed around the 40 round. I have a full size, its easy to quickly get back on target. Hopefully I'm going shooting tomorrow, I'll get some pics.

UTG side rail mount and Vortex Sparc II are as quality as I am going to go on this rifle. Pretty sure that side mount rail is one of the best on the market. I am thinking I never torqued it down tight enough. I have seen some pics where the mount is bent around the mounting screw. I do not like that there is only one screw holding it into place. I had another mount, but it sat far too high over the cover. If this doesn't work I can always use the optic on another rifle and stick with the snackbar open sites.

Vortex optics good, utg bad.

Any reason why? Everything I've read has mostly been positive. Only issue some have experienced is it not sitting over center bore. I don't have that issue. Some have stated they have used a mallet to tighten the lever. Going to try that and see if that is truly the problem. If you have a better rail in mind then by all means, sharing is caring.
