help with fitment and tires c5s

just bought some stock gm corvette thin 5 spoke c5 rims 17",18" was wondering what if any spacer is needed and some tire options wide as i can go on back was looking at some riken raptors 275/40/17 and same in back but 18s are these a good tire? also is anyone else runing these same wheels gm not aftermarket that can chime in on what they have?
these are going on a 95 trans am

I'm told it would be an 1.25 spacer in the rear . . . I guess U don't need one in the front. I'm kinda trying to figure out the same thing, I just haven't bought the wheels yet. See my thread bellow . . .
P.S. Where in the QC are U? I live in moline and I know I've never seen your car?

some people have had great luck with a direct instal with the c5 rims however i do suggest a small spacer on the rear unless you have an adj. panhard bar to make sure the rear is centered. i suggest this because under "hard" cornering the rears seem to hit the inner fender walls...

like what size do you sugest for a spacer in back? ive heard anywhere from 1/4 to 1" whats correct?

Ryan (finnv3) just bought some, but he hasn't got tires on them yet.

I'm confused now as well, I'm gonna be purchasing some c5 offset wheels and would like to knows this. . .

i bought used stock corvette rims off a 2000 corvette got them cheap so they have the corvette offset in back 65+ offset i need to be at 58+ at least i belive

common what size spacer is right correct for this?

i just tnrew mine on the car... i guess its a perk to a camaro over TA... i have 315/35/17s(26in tall) on mine. but they also arent 18s! i know i had 295/40/17(27in tall) MTs on them too and still no rub.

X2 on the adj panhard bar though! centers your rear up and helps you launch straight.

I heard a 1/4 inch is all that is needed in the back but im not for sure. Like phstraton said i just bought mine and im broke right now, but i will be getting tires soon. Ill let you know if i have to do anything to them in order for them to fit.
