everything sounded good until I got to the 3/8 studs. :o
My thinking also. Yesterday I finished a heads and cam swap on my son's 96 LT1 Vette using Scorpion 1.7s on the intake and 1.65s on the exhaust (I was shipped the wrong ones but I decided to keep them). I'd ordered 1.7/1.7s
My new Dart Pro 1s came with 3/8" studs and I ditched them for ARP 7/16 studs. I was amazed that the Scorpions fit under the stock valve covers without any mods at all.

West Point ROCKS!
Just be very careful as to which valve springs you actually get and the installed height. You'll be around .620" lift with that cam and it has very aggressive lobes so the last thing you want is coil bind, or even close to coil bind.
I'd swap to the 7/16ths just to be safe. No reason not to go 7/16ths, really.
7/16th studs and you need to measure for pushrod length.
