I never thought I'd own or even want to own another LT1 car. Nothing personal, I just have a vested interest in the LS world and prefer later model stuff. However, I spoke with a local guy last night who has a '95 Trans Am, just like my 94 (red, ttop, etc), but needs some TLC and was in the process of being torn down for an LS swap. I think it's a great candidate to slam it back together and see if the wife likes it or just flip it. The deal was a trade for my 1975 Oldsmobile 98 that I just lost interest in (was going to be an LS Turbo build, but didn't have the heart to take out the perfectly running 455 out of it/lost interest).
I sold most of the LT parts that I have acquired over the years. I will be reaching out to you semi-locals for spare parts, guidance, and emotional support lol. I need to make sure the engine sounds okay and no rust/rot underneath to determine if it'll get put back together or parted out (that T56 setup would be PERFECT in my 1st gen build...).

Initial thoughts-
Pros:
- All accessories included and aftermarket aluminum radiator, new dash pad (likely to be used in my 94), and new plastic headliner. Even a battery.
- 6 speed, the only reason I am interested
- The wheels are growing on me, I wasn't sure about them at first, but look good and new in person. Tires looked okay tread wise
- Appears to be completely unmodified minus the CAI.
- 9x,xxx miles, not bad for a 30 year old car
Cons:
- Clear coat left the chat
- No aftermarket parts minus the rad and CAI lol
- Seats are roached. The driver is all tore up and the passenger is some clunky aftermarket seat. I sold both of my stock seats :disagree:
- Dash has a big crack in the middle of it and assuming the headliner is sagging
- It is pretty well disassembled, assuming by someone (previous owner to the guy who had it) who realized the LT1 T56 won't work with an LS without some work. Shouldn't be bad to slam together, overall.
- No prior knowledge on the car - if it had issues when parked and disassembled, etc.
Anyway, that is it for now. We are doing the title transfers in a week or two, so I'll have it on the lift with more insights when I get it home.
Just know, if I do keep it around for awhile, it'll need a cam at the very least or the wife won't want it lol.
