Does anyone know of any good write ups to do a 24x conversion. Or at least a parts list. I am trying to determine a general cost to see if this is something i want to do.

Contact BP automotive, he is a sponsor on here and can give you a pretty good run down.
Here is a good link if you decide you want to tackle repining one. However we talked to the guy from BP at the shootout, lives about 50 minutes up the road. He made a good point that a 20+ year old harness may give some trouble. Something to think about.

I spent 2250 on my 24x set up everything was new, and I already had the timing cover bc I'm a 97

@casey20000007 worthwhile investment though? I dread any kind of LSx swap, this may be the bridge I need for the future build of my LT1. Opti and stock PCM hold its own but no one near by will dyno tune the damn things. And it may not be necessary for a stock cube LE2 HCI build but the future possibilities is where I'm looking. I'm seeking the advice and wisdom of those who have done the swap already.

Its worth its weight in gold.
I can drive to my tuner and he can tune it all day for me. No dealing with mail order BS, or waiting for a guy to come out and tune my LT1.
I have 950 into mine, but bought everything when BP was running an intro/xmas sale. His harness is fantastic - top notch quality. His attention to detail is on point. He also added a provision for my WP and lengthened certain things.
Timing covers are very common as are coils. The only thing I had to scratch my head about is mounting the coils on my Cantons (Bill has brackets that'd work great on stock vc's and I used most of them for my operation lol) and he doesn't clearly label the coil plugs so I had my passenger side plugged in backwards. I think that's what it was, it's been awhile lol.
Otherwise, it's really nice. I'd recommend this swap to anyone with an LTX looking for easier tunability, wanting to ditch their opti, and/or upgrade their ignition system. Just be prepared for an additional cost to get a proper crank sensor relearn/dyno tune right away unless you're handy with HP Tuners.
I'll also say that Bill's base tune on the PCM he sent me was actually not terrible. I've had worse mail orders on my stock PCM.
Thanks @shownomercy and @harner that's definitely good to hear. It's another piece to the puzzle that I'm going to budget for in the future. I want this to be the most efficient headache free build. In other words once it's done I can drive it and not worry about tunes not being on point and like you said no waiting around for mail orders. Hit the dyno out the gate and get everything dialed in with ease. And possibly pull a little more HP/TQ with proven set ups. Didn't mean to hijack the thread but I'm getting more and more info before starting. Figured I'd get all the HW done first before diving in to this build. Suspension, brakes, wheels, and rear first then powaaa!
