I have These, Cable used to work 10 years ago when I had a laptop with a serial port. Should it work with this USb adapter or is there an easier way? What do Ineed?

An adapter should work. I have one with my loaner laptop... it has usb and serial ports depending on what is being tuned and what cables are being tuned.
@Sahara54 has it now... im not sure if he is using the usb or serial ports.
On the sites cable; its OBDII plug to a serial and then a converter box (Moates) to the USB. I have a OBD1 plug direct to USB (ALDL) for my 94.
If you have the correct driver installed and it recognizes and communicates then use it.
ALDL cables sells the 95 plug to usb w/ driver for $56
Driver for the USB converter? or something else. I downloaded that driver last night
If you can't get it to work Tunercat sells a USB upgrade kit for $60 that will work with your ALDL cable. I ended up having to replace a RS232 one I'd had for over 10 years that finally died on me last year. I didn't want to spend $120+ on a USB version that came with the ALDL connector that I didn't need.
Ok, My converter won't connect to the PCM. I have been reading and I think I need one of these

does this look right? im haveing a time. I bought tuner cats and the Def file the other day, Should have went ahead and bought the cable as well and called it a day
Depending on what chip set the cable is using, you may need to install an older version of the driver. I use the 2.08.30 driver.
