Time for a spool?

I have broken two sets of spider gears in my posi unit (eaton) 12 bolt 4.11

I'm really considering going with a spool. I just don't want it to kill the drivability of the car. I don't drive it in the rain or very hard out back roads. I'm just looking for some input from guys who might be running a spool on their street cars.

My car 60ft's low 1.3's

Or if anyone has a better suggestion please post up.

I wish they made the strange s trac for a 12 bolt (pretty sure it's still a Dana 60 and 9" optioon) ... it's about the baddest helical gear unit posi you can put it but it's pricey ...

I have a locker in my 9" and its violent sometimes... and noisy many times... but... i didnt lose the drivability. .. i just took it on a 400 mile+ road trip... plus cruising.

If it sucks that bad to drive it on the street with a spool I can alway replace the spider gears again.

Are you running a support girdle? Whether you are or not I suggest the below setup.

Id say the opposite.

I love my tru trac in my s60 . I just installed a spool in my chevelle 10 bolt im sure I'll like it.
