9 inch rear?
Hey guys quick question? Might be a dumb one but im looking at getting a rear here soon so ive been looking at the s60 and the 9". My question is, if i get the s60 ill have to buy a new driveshaft but if i get a 9" my stock style driveshaft will work right? The reason i ask is im trying to save a little money as i already have a spohn driveshaft hooked up to my stock 10 bolt. if i can get away with using that, ill go with the 9" . Ive heard that i will just need to get a 447 u joint to convert to the 1350 yoke. Is that correct?

When I was researching my QP 9", I saw a lot of guys running the stock aluminum d/s with their aftermarket rears. I think you should be ok. Steve Spohn may be able to shed more light since it's his d/s, but if it works now, it should work with a 9". FWIW, I ended up going with a Spohn extreme duty shaft.

This is a good thread:

tl;dr - NAPA sells a Precision brand ?447? conversion U-joint for $30 that adapts your 1310 series driveshaftto the 1350 series yoke if you end up sticking with your stock driveshaft. (Chris 96 WS6, ls1lt1.com)
