Intake Elbow for single plane

Hey guys. Looking for your take on this. In this picture you can see the back of the elbow where it enters the intake. Notice the lip in the corners and back edge? Should I grind that off or at least fill it so air will run smooth over it or am I over thinking this. it seems like a big snag for flow. Thanks

getting rid of that lip wouldn't hurt as far as I know.

Ok. I am a little worried about having enough material for gasket now so I may try to fill it in so it has smooth flow.

Id check to see how it matches up to to the intake.
