Hello all....

Hello, noob here. New to LT1's and this forum... I'm a computer programmer by trade, but just learning the ins and outs of EFI. A couple years ago my factory 350 started burning oil in my 1970 Corvette (don't get excited, it's not that nice). So I picked up a 94 Buick Roadmaster and pulled the LT1 and 4L60E, then began the process of fitting it into this Vette. Well I finally got it up and running a few months ago and over the past weekend bricked my PCM :banghead:. So I went lurking on this site looking for options. I found Chris... Awesome guy with a great service... So while I'm waiting on that special package to arrive, I thought I'd say Hi...

Tell us more about u, the car and some pics of that vette. What are ur future plans for it?

Well, I'm a mainframe computer programmer working in Columbus Ohio, live about 1.5 hrs east of there. I have lots of interests. Cars, guns, RC's, woodworking, trying to teach myself how to pinstripe and on and on.... I consider myself a jack of all trades master of none...

My Vette is a black 1970 that I've had for over 10 years. I've rebuilt the front and rear suspension (stock) had the rusty frame repaired and just slowly bringing it back to life. I'll get picks posted soon. My goal was to do as much work on it myself as I can. So far I've only farmed out the frame repair and drive shaft shortening. The engine/trans are stock for now. My plan is to find and build an aluminum head version to replace the current with the goal of around 400hp so I can basically have a fun street car. I'd like to take it to the drags, just for fun as well.

Only to find the frame had more rot that I knew about so....

It all came apart. I loaded the frame on a trailer and had it professionally repaired (I can weld some, but it's the backbone of the car and my welder wasn't large enough.).
While apart (for way to long) I rebuilt the rear suspension, added headers, repaired some body mounts and POR-15'ed everything.

The entire front clip is aftermarket that I can only assume was an accident repair (inner fenders still show all the damage) I've since replaced the Daytona headlights with originals as well...

Thanks for the welcome! Right now the mission is getting the tune right and driving. It's been down for 2 years.
