Pretty easy to install, the instructions are clear enough. I have it on my car, but the window motor was already pretty much toast before I installed it, so didn't help. Eventually I'll get to putting a new window motor in and this should prevent it from burning out prematurely again.
Just another all show no go bird
i figure replace the motor also i got 2 ac delco units from amazon for like 50 bux.I have seen a few video's on u tube if they are true than it would fix mine without replacing the motor. I got the autotrix kit and have not put it in yet.i asked about it here a month ago or so and got some positive in put on it. type autotrix in the search on youtube there are video's showing b4 and after from people like us that did the install.
the video's show what it can do.the kit come's with pretty straight forward direction's.
they are here http://www.autotrix.net/install/ look on the left and click on pass side fix kit
I have it on my car and I believe it made a difference. The passenger side was always a bit slower than the driver's, particularly if I was operating both at the same time. Now they go up and down at the same speed. Wiring was very straight forward.. all in all, I'd recommend it. Hopefully I'll never have to replace another window motor!
Wouldnt over powering the window motors reduce their life... Like putting a bigger battery on a powerwheels.
LTXtech.com is my DRUG!
The Autotrix kit has prolonged my motor for years when it wasn't able to get the window all of the way up originally. Worked well for me.
It's because the factory wiring has the power direct drawing from the battery on the driver's side and then it's relayed over to the passenger side from there, which gives less than sufficient power and causes the internal breaker in the window motor to trip (once it's to the point of stopping randomly). The Autotrix kit provides direct draw power from the battery to the passenger side as well, thus extending the life of the motor.
