Remote Breather/Catch Can

Would a -12an line approx 18-24" long from the valve cover to a remote catch can/breather provide adequate crank case ventilation for a 394 ci high compression LTx without a pcv system? I'm currently using just a valve cover breather and I'm getting oil mist under load. I think the remote setup would eliminate the mist but I don't want to choke down the crankcase ventilation.

Would the above setup work as well as one of those breathers with pcv provision run to a vacuum port on the manifold? I really dislike the idea of that oil mist accumulating in the intake over time.

I think it would be sufficient. I ran dual -10's, one from each valve cover to it's own dedicated tank, no issues. Buddy of mine was running dual -10's to a single tank and is now running just one -10 from one side to a single tank (valve cover swap) with no issues.

I ran dual -12AN (one from each valve cover) to a single tank and it's worked well so far. I went totally overkill though in hopes of never having a problem. Used Summit twist-tite ends and 3/4" heater hose for this, saved on some cost and looks really low-key. I still have the stock PCV with an oil separator in line, intake is bone dry.
