Bought strange coilovers today and i dont like the way they bolt on the strut mount. It looks like all the weight of the car will be supported by the little metal sleeve and rubber of the mount. Had anyone ever had any trouble with this and if so ishttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/21/5y9a9a9u.jpg there a solution?
I was thinking of maybe running a washer to help distribute the weight.
Any insight is appreciated

i don't like them either.they look like they would bust out the mount.i'm thinking gm designers probably new what they were doing and coil-overs are a bad idea.the way the front bolts up on the stock setup is pretty much a coilover.
what brand are those?
i have no insight other than i would not bolt those up.
anyone else have something good to say for this guy?
That upper perch is interesting. I'll look at my QA1 setup when I get home around 7 am and see if it looks like the OP's pic.

Looks like mine, no problems after 4 years. Strange DA's with 300# spring.

looking at the pdf injuneer they have 2 types of spring setups available. you can put on the other type of spring by removing the top spring seat and using part #spc300a.

imo that setup would be for a dedicated track car only. i prefer the stock style setup.

Im going to install them on wednesday. In theroy the insulator is designed to keep the center from ripping out as load increases the insulator will push against the upper control arm bracket therefore stopping movement of rubber in strut mount.
I hope to see a big inprovement in 60ft times. I bout single adjustables shocks in rear and the coil overs up front.
