Z28 dont want to run????

Yesterday my wife was coming home from work anf the 94 z28 just quit.It was getting fuel,I couldnt check the firing.I had it towed home and about 10 oclock last night I went outside and it started right up and run for about a hour.The fuel pump is humming and getting fuel.I changed out the coil with a MSD one.ive been wanting to put one on because i know the other one is a factory one and old.So it fired up and I drove it about 25 miles this morning.This evening I drove it to the store about 5 miles round trip.It want start again now.Fuel pump humming it just cranks want even try to start.Anybody have any Idea??

ICM could be getting heat soaked or..... you know.... starts with an "o"

I thought it might be the ICM after doing some reading.That Opti wouldnt just not start any more after it went down.It new I bought about 6 months ago.The ICM is pretty old I would say.

Optis can have intermittent issues caused by heatsoak as well, ask me how i know

Optical sensor and pickup gets heatsoaked, once it heatsoaks it becomes intermittent signal to pcm till finally it overheats, stops sending signal and dies. Then, you let it sit for a little and it cools. Same as icm issues. Start with icm.

Now that I read it in detail it sounds like my last opti issue with the camaro... And believe me... I NEVER wanna blame the opti.

I just went ahead and bought a opti.My neighbor has a buick and its doing the same thing and its the opti.Also a ICM id $100 so for anothe $160 I can get the opti and that the problem.I hate to say it but it is.I bough the opti from Whites performance and they make there optis in house and I bougt one.It was $90 shipped I should have known better but they make great cams and lifters so i tried one.I got about 12,000 miles out of it.

I bough the AC delco this time

I was gonna tell u if u want to get an ac to talk to @American-Powerhouse
