No, LTx engines came with bolts, just like everything else.
No
no...head studs are aftermarket. You might have gotten a little extra with your donor car
That would be nice. Motor ran strong, you never know.
Post pictures of the tear down, I always like seeing the mysteries these things contain.
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps2197801c.jpg That was fun removing by myself. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...psd80716e3.jpg In progress. This removal is kicking my butt!
Got it out and got some good news. I does have head studs, it also has roller tip rockers, screw in studs, guide plates and the heads were reworked in 2007. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...psfeac1828.jpg and another http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps2f4eb024.jpg
Good update and pics.
They all have 3/8" screw in studs from the factory. I'm doubting those guideplates are LT1 specific so make sure you check your valve tips. The springs look factory so it shouldn't have a aftermarket cam.
Worked in 2007, like ported? Lets get some pictures of the ports, valves, and combustion chambers.
How do the exhaust port's look are they worked I'm now curious to know what all is done internally
