Those heads would still be ok for boost. You can easily build a zero decked engine with the chambers on those heads and some -20 cc pistons and come up with 9.5 compression on a 383. (that's using the 58.5 you specified in your other thread. If that's changed, then it's still possible with a larger dished piston or by setting the piston farther in the hole) The only real issue you might run into is deck thickness, but it really shouldn't be a problem IMHO until you're trying to push 20-25 psi, and even then as long as you have done your homework, use quality parts and keep detonation under control, shouldn't be an issue. If I weren't going a different direction with my build I would have no qualms about using heads like yours to top my 383.
