Ultra Z hood head count

I contacted Jason at street trends today regarding the Ultra Z hood for the 93-97 Camaro, and he mentioned if there was enough interest, he would make a mold for it. Needs 100 sales to cover production costs. Said he sold the last few he had last year and gets a call about once a month on these hoods. I thought I'd post on here and see what the response would be and maybe shoot him a link. I mentioned that he should gauge interest on ltxtech (and other forums) and become a site sponsor. Getting 100 pre-orders is gonna be hard to do. Just like the factory big bore LTX block, there's defiantly gonna be interest but not many will follow though and produce the cash. Personally, I like that fact that Ultra Z hoods are somewhat rare and I'm sure the guys with them feel the same way.

Kind of like my hood - the Z-Roc / Stinger / Big Block hood, I bought it to be different and I like the fact that they're hard to find now :lolsign:

I would love to see it happen but SLP had a hard time with the ltx version. The ultra z was designed on a lsx car. That said not a lot of ultra z parts were ever sold. It is kind of a love or hate thing with that hood and spoiler. Also some SLP car purists tend to look down on the ultra z as it was never a production car and was just a diy appearance thing. I love my hood. The spoiler was hideous. I like that they are kind of rare especially on ltx cars. I am all for someone stepping up to make stuff for us, but we are a small dying breed.

I wish the best of luck and would love to see this happen. But 100 is a steep order. I think getting 25 deposits would be hard. But don't not try. It would be an awesome accomplishment

Last year when I was looking I found two here in Canada, bought them both!
Sounds like I should gather up as many as I can and bring them to the shoot out.
I also found the spoiler... looks like a NASCAR wing on the verts trunk lid.

I know getting 100 commitments would be hard. From what I've read on other people's opinions, it does seem to be a love/hate thing. I'd love to get my hands on one though, they're just so hard to find!

Put me down for one as long as the cost is similar to other hood prices!!!! I would love to have one!!!!!

jay the lt1 got the hood befor the ls1 i have the mag some were around here
