I am adding a 150 shot wet kit with a Nitrous outlet progressive controller. I also have an MSD digital 6 I am adding as well. I know the digital 6 can adjust timing, my question is, will it adjust the timing when the switch is armed or is it just set and that's where it stays at all times. Thanks for replies. This is the first time I have done N20 install.
Is it a stupid question or is no one sure. I have been known to ask something off the wall....lol :D
I have mine set up to retard the timing only when the solenoids are spraying. It keeps the normal timing advance when when the nitrous system is armed or not. I think that I have the nitrous relay controlling the power and a wire comes of that relay and runs to the Digital6 box for the spark retard input.
That's what I want it to do!! Did you set that up yourself? I am going to have it Dyno tuned after I get everything installed and was hoping they would set it up that way, I just was not sure it could work that way.
There will be an activation wire on the digital 6 that will let you pull timing when you have the solenoids active. I've ran a 7AL-3 and a Dig-6 both of them have more than enough for what you need.
you will just need to make sure the trigger wire is a contant signal and not a pulsed signal from the progressive

I like that board. Did you say you are running your progressive off this? The price is nice and would make for nice clean hook up. I have not started the wiring yet and I did figure out the MSD wire that would change timing when charged.
