UTI FUN DAY SUNDAY 2012

MAPLE GROVE RACEWAY 2moro...


Some of you may remember , last year I attended this and had a blast with my vette... going out first round on a 14.99 pass on a 15.03 dial in......

This year we will be taking the GENESIS down the 1/4....

I know its short notice, but I figured if any locals dont have anything to do..... its alotta fun.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
UTI FUNDAY SUNDAY
Gates open: 8 a.m.
Time trials: 9 a.m.
Eliminations: After time trials

Damn. I'd go to this if I didn't ahve a BUNCH of work to tidy up on my car tomorrow. Rear suspension and new plugs. Have an appt somewhere on Wednesday. :secret:

BTW, dont forget to say CONGRATS when you go weds.... They are having their first child together....(they each have one from previous relationships.

I won't be able to go. Dave (boss) needs me at the shop, we're booked solid. Katie is taking the car up.

I understand... the worst part of that is... you know you wont be able to focus on any work, while its up there....lol

you'd be surprised. I did the same thing when my vette was finished up. That turned out great. And I'm happy with where the car is now so this should be good now too. hopefully. I'd go tomorrow but I want the car tidied up and I have a couple of line lock kits to get built now too.

oh im not sayin she cant handle it... i was sayin ull be so excited u wont be able to get any work done.

Oh, I knew that. I KNOW she can handle it. Back when it was a head/cam car I thought we were goners when a lady merged into our lane and we ended up with two wheels in the gravel and started to slide @ 75 MPH on the highway. I had a vision of the slide continuing, tires grabbing, and a shot across four lanes (NJ Interstate). She just corrected, flipped the woman the bird, and sped ahead. It was classic.

My concern is going to be the long haul up there (hasn't been distance driven with new radiator/fan/intercooler setup yet) and back, and then the "what if" something goes really wrong adn I'm not there.
