I just got my cc503 cam swap done in my 96 m6. I cranks up fine and idles and rev perfect but whenever I drive it stalls out or when I'm slowing down.
It just suddenly dies with no stumble or nothing.
any Ideas what It could be
96 LT-1 cc503 cam, Lt's, CAI, and minor head porting by 30 year xp dirt track racer.
Did you get the ecm reflashed?

I have tunercats, freescan, and still 20 datamasters to be used.
And I have found a 503 cam tune on another forum that got the car idling. It idles around 900-1000 rpms. and revs and drives straight awesome but stopping and turning keeps killing it.
I will be checking for vacuum leaks tomorrow and fuel pressure testing.

sounds like a vacuum leak. log a run in freescan and post it. id like to take a look. you could also try hitting the brakes while its idling at a stop and see what it does. if it stalls or stumbles you may have a vacuum leak in your brake booster. solomon probably wont get back to you until monday. he stays pretty busy with church on the weekend.

this is it idling and checked for vacuum leaks with some carburetor cleaner and got nothing anywhere, spaced the icm off the head checked all my grounds and changed out the battery.
guess i'm gonna have to wait for solomon

hell i drove my round for 6 months with that cam and no tune.
Hopefully only partial throttle and not WOT...
