Ouch....not a good spot. Patch panel and T/A side skirt maybe?

I was thinking of either welding a patch in and painting it, or i know this is blaspheme but bondo
patch panel for sure, is not that bad and not too hard of a spot to patch in. If you can weld it do it, then a slight coat of filler to smooth and rattle can duplicor will be fine. Down that low would be not too noticable if the pait shade if off a little.
I was talking to a friend of mine who does body work and he was saying fiberglass bondo will work just fine, i mean it seems like it would be easier than a patch panel but... i just dont want to do it have it look good for a year or two then be worse than before
. If you go that route it will be a bandage that will fail the only way to fix it is to replace it or cut out all the rust or as much as possible and make a patch panel and weld it in I would never duraglass it or bono or even mat and ressin sucks . You can also make a patch panel and used panel bonder but if I was you I would patch panel and weld it do it once .Quote:

Thats what friends are for.... ;)
If you have rust there you probably have it in your wheel wells to. I would do a good inspection of the car and if you find rust I would use a rust protection paint like POR15. My car had no rust but i had rust blisters behind the undercoating in my wheel wells.
