preference on oil brand!

hey everybody i was wondering if people had a preference on royal purple or castroal edge motor oil? which is better?

it has better additives and I saw a big difference in after oil changes ... the royal purple got thick and stunk really bad after 3500 miles and the moble1 was still yellowish ... of course it was dark but i would not call it BLACK ... that was proof enough for me

Valvoline VR1 straight 30 non synthetic. That's what I prefer as well as my machinest .I've never had a engine come apart running valvoline that could just be luck tho but I ran royal purple and wiped out every bearing in an engine with only 23,000 on it but maybe that's just bad luck .

Amsoil 10-30w full synthetic, i have tryed mobile 1, royal purple, and castrol syntec and my car just seams to prefer the amsoil.

Conventional 10W30 Castrol here. Used it since 1999 and never had an oil related issue and after going into engines after years of dd use and racing all year the internals were just as clean as when they were assembled. I've tried a few synthetics but they're so $ and i change my oil after every 2 races. I really want to learn that this new G oil is good mainly due to it being 100% American made but there's just no data or proven results yet. Just their own propaganda.
