any one that can lead me in the right way to built a good motor
Goals? Budget? ET? Car? Transmission? Current mods? Strawberry or vanilla?
to be close to 500 rwhp budget not really much cuz its like a few months that it will be worked on its 96 ws6 with a t56 i believe it has a 355 but i just blew the heads
There's no way to hit 500rwhp with a budget that's "not really much." It will take a VERY well thought out build and/or a lot of money.
LT1 owners with whp goals are usually left disappointed. Most people that have 500rwhp are slower than the guys who have substantially less power, but have a better total package. A number is for bragging. An ET is for winning.
what i mean by not much is i am not concern it how much i be spendin now i am runnin 12.8
if hit any close to 10's then i am good cuz in march i be addin turbo
You would be wasting money trying to hit 10s NA if you're planning for boost in march.
If I were you I'd concentrate on my rearend/transmission and suspension.
Do that then either build the bottom end for boost or set the car up for fueling and tuning.
Then valvetrain and heads or track safety equipment.
my tranny is built i have 355 forged rear end i was goin to wait till it breaks but dont know what size to put
i am thinking to buy a four bolt motor and built a 396
355 doesn't tell us anything. it could be a stock 355, it could be a low or high compression 355, it could be a forged 355, it could be anything.
Rearend you could wait on until you find out what would work best with the power band, but you still have a lot to do otherwise.
