EFI connection 24x conversion
I would like to get all the information I can on this. Bottom dollar cost. I have access to the LSX coils from a 5.3 or a 6.0 truck. I can pick up a LS1 PCM, if thats the case then all I need is a bare bones kit for $525 dollars. Then modify my wiring harness, but my question is how do I modify it and is there instructions to do this. I have an extra wiring harness from a 95 LT1, but mine is a 96 LT1 is there a major difference in the two harnesses. I am trying to find the cheapest way I can do this, because if I can do this for around $700-800 dollars then I believe this is the way I am going to go, instead on converting to an complete LS1......I have another short block with a spun rod bearing......I can get it machined and buy a stroker kit etc. cheaper than buying a LS1 and doing all the conversion stuff and then having to build that motor. I have a pretty good H/C/I take package that made 381 RWHP. If I do this then I am thinking for around $4000 grand I could have a good 383 short block built. What would you guys think.....stay LT1 and go this route or convert to a LS1 dollars wise which do you think is the easiest conversion and the cheapest.
Sorry if I have asked stupid questions, some friends of mine are trying to get me to convert to LS1, but I just want to go the cheapest route to get the numbers I am hoping for.
