EGR Block Off Plates? Need some advice

I was wondering if there is a way that keep my ecm from throwing a code on me if I delete the EGR and A.I.R. on my 93 Z28. I already have a new prom chip in it because I have a different cam and I dont want to spend the money again on another chip or to have it reburned. Could I put the block off plates on the back of the intake manifold and leave the harness connector plugged into the little EGR thing or how could I do it. Or just delete the whole thing and let my ecm throw the code(s) for a while? I kind of need a little help on this.

Your best bet is a reflash for the code to be turned off, because when the car throws a code your fans will come on by default.

Some tuners might not even charge for this since it is such a simple fix. go with your original tuner and ask them if they would charge at all.

I feel like plugging it in will not fix the code because the car will have nothing to actually read.

It was just a thought. I have a chip made for me by Alvin from PCMforless. Done just for my cam I put in for right now. Now Im thinking i should have it deleted when I ordered the chip. Would I have to send my chip back to be reprogrammed for the EGR and A.I.R. deleted?

It may already be deleted with the tune, check with Alvin.

As long as you have the egr solenoid plugged in it wont set any codes.

^ Not true, IMO. The EGR system needs to read exhaust gases flowing through it, otherwise it won't function correctly.....thus setting a code.

Get rid of all of it, have it tuned out. Pretty simple.

Unless you have a chip burner and the software yes it needs to be sent back for a retune. He may or may not do it for free. I believe his reflash prices are only 50$ though.

I have my module plugged in and the vacume blocked at the module to the egr valve computer still thinks its there and idles better than with the vacume blocked at the manifold port. When I get a tune will have EGR Deleted and take the module off the manifold.
