back firing problems
quick question for everyone. tonight i got into a little run in with an acura intergra its a buddy of mines. we decided to run them at about 40. the car took off great but around about 5500-5800 rpms the car started poping kinda loud. the opti is brand new the spark pugs and wires are basically new. the car hadnt been running for more then about 15 mins before we met up. is this normal for a cold lt1 or is this a serious issue?

Im sure you replaced the coil wire, but how old is the coil itself? And are you sure the wire is seated firmly on it? I had that problem too, except worse and it turned out the coil and wire weren't connected and the socket on the wire had rusted.
Another thing it could be is you might have crappy gas in your tank. It took me a few weeks to find a good gas station here in San Diego since I moved here. I based it on power, gas mileage, and no high rpm misses. Well this time I couldn't fill up at my station so i filled up at a station by my work and wouldn't you know, at around 5500rpm, I get my miss.
Something to look into.

ICM, Coil, iffy fuel, Overheating fuel pump, or a failing injector could all cause it. If the first ones are ruled out, try ohm testing your injectors, I have a video of the procedure in fueling and injection
section.
