What would cause my car to bounce off the rev limiter and not shift at WOT first to second gear? Any input is appreciated
from what i was told by performabuilt, gears, power adders, or anything else that is going to have a decent effect on how fast the rpm's climb will make it do it until you have the pcm tuned accordingly. the line pressures of the transmission have to be increased to speed up the shifts
if the problem came out of nowhere it sounds like a trans issue.......possibly its slipping in first gear and causing it to rev up to much and it cant hit its target shift speed.......

It's the trans, my friend had the same issue with his 94 z28, and everyone kept saying it was the computer and other things and it turned out to be the transmission. Get it rebuilt by someone that knows what they're doing.
Check your fluid level.
If it's the stock trans I think it's time for a rebuild. Performabuilt is pretty good quality and worth checking out.
Sounds like the trans is on its way out. FLT builds bad ass 60es
