700r4 cross member from 4l60e cross member

hey guys im starting a new project in the summer and im trying to find all the right parts now this way when im ready i can just order and start.

Im at the transmission crossmember search and i wanna run a 700r4 transmission where a 4l60e is now. I cant find any cross members for the 700r4 trans and I know that both transmissions are very identical but i just wanna make sure that i get all my parts rigt now.

So my question is can i use a stock 4l60e cross member for a 700r4. ooo and it will be going into a 93-97 V-6 firebird or comaro

Damn they released the comaro already?? I thought that car wasnt coming out untill 2012. JK! I would call up UMI or BMR to make sure. V6-V8 the chassis is the same so that wont matter.

ok and another quick question i forgot to ask is didnt the 93 lt1's come with the 700r4 transmission instead of the 4l60e

also in anyone opinion what is a better trans the 4l60 or the 700r4

700r4 and 4l60e are the same tranny's except being electrically controlled. The 700r4 has a cable that has to be hooked up to the throttle body unless you do a manually valve body. (you could leave it off but the down shifts and line pressure may be effected) The 700r4 still has wiring for the torque converter lock up.

im goin to do a automatic,manual valve bobdies with a b&m shifter on the floor and do i have to do a tourqe converter lock up

ok i found out that the crossmebers are the same but yet again i have another question what else do i need to make the 700 work and what else to i need to do

You will need the TV cable. I have the Holley TB and it had a place to hook up the cable up to dnt know if the stock or other brands have a palc for the cable. You will also need keep the tail housing and speed sensor from the 4l60 so you can hook up the speedo.
