Just as the title says. When braking hard, the clutch pedal practically goes all the way to the floor when pressed before any resistane is felt at all. Once stopped, or under normal driving/shifting conditions, the pedal feels fine. I dont exactly see how the two are related. Clutch fluid appears to be full. Any ideas where to look first?
edit: oops...spelled braking wrong in the title. what a crappy first post

finally got around to pulling the trans and the clutch.

the pilot bearing doesn't seem to be fully intact...seems to have slipped out of its outer ring a bit, and just came right out of the crank with no effort at all. just stuck my finger in and the bearing came right out....good thing it came off my finger
could this have been part of my problem? I will for sure be going with a bushing now.

Though i'm not 100% sure what to really look for. There are no obvious signs of damage on the t/o bearing or PP.

any input??

wasn't too long ago. clutch and hydraulics only have about 7000 miles on them. No air was found in the line, and the disk still seems to have a good bit of material left on it
