t-56 shifting issue..What did i mess up?

i have a 95z m6..I parked the car after a drive and the next time i went to drive it the trans is harder then normal to get in gear when the engine is running but shifts normal when not running.I have replaced the slave cyl and bled the system real good and still didnt help.Any ideas what it can be or what to check? thanks!

slave is a pita to bleed, I would make sure its bled good

Sounds like your clutch might be shot. When the engine isn't running it doesn't matter if the clutch is depressing because none of the shafts in the transmission are spinning (just like when you depress the clutch).

Sometimes mine is fussy to get into 1st gear. My clutch is newer. I think mine is a synchros issue.

Are all gears difficult? How hard is reverse? Any grinding or a soft pedal?

That is pretty common on a t-56.

Both my M6 cars were fussy about reverse every once in a while. One of them I bought brand new and it was like that from day one. Id say its normal too.

my bird has always been bad with reverse, goes in fine sometimes, sometimes it grinds, and sometimes it sounds like the tranny wants to jump throught the floor to sit next to me. My tranny just did this to me tonight while driving it, all of a sudden was a little hard to get in gear, but got better the more I drove it, and sitting still, motor running, does fine, i don't know.

Mine gave me the reverse issue until we rebuilt/upgraded it.... now its smooth though every gear.... (knock on wood...)
