My tie rod ends are shot and I was looking into the Baer bump steer kit and was wondering if anyone has bought the kit and if its worth it? My car is lowered about 1.6", but I may get some strano springs for it down the road. Or should I just throw some stock replacement ends in and call it a day??

Thanks in advance

I have read some posts on FRRAX where they don't really recommend it for fourth gens.

Thank you very much LOL you just saved me about $125. I'll do some more looking over there and see why they don't like them.

Thanks for the info :)

From what I recall, they were saying what it aims to correct really isnt an issue with the 4th gen.

It's not an issue untill the car is lowered. The kit is meant to level the tie rods after the vehicle is lowered. This keeps them in their 'optimum' area throughout the travel of the suspension.

Look at your car sitting at ride height, if they are not level you need the kit.

Ok well my car is about 1.5" lower than its stock wore out parts. How well do the heim joints hold up compared to a regular balljoint?

The thing with heim joints is to take a look at them every oil change. Make sure they are clean and lubed. Then they will last a long time.

Summit carries a brand called "Seals it" or something along those lines... Anyway, I've seen in their catalogs that this brand makes dust covers for the heim joints. That could make checking them a little more involved, but should definitely keep them clean longer.

Well I'm going to save my money and get replacement stockers for now and when I start going to the track and think I need them I'mm replace the stockers with the Baers and see if there is any real difference

Thanks alot for the replies
