Wife's been driving the vette, thought I'd snag a quick vid of her pulling home after work:

Sound tame enough to hurt some feelings??? FYI it should be around 700/700 when tuned. IF that ever happens.:shiner:

Very nice car dude, I've had bad experiences with letting girls drive nice cars though...or just being around nice cars in general :P

Stop taking lousy video with your phone and get out your video camera that is capable of catching that beautiful car more adequatly!

The car is the epitomy of a sleeper IMO. Hope all goes well on the dyno man!

That was with the video camera. Otto (I let him borrow it) told me that you could record directly to the memory card with it, so I was playing with that yesterday.

The rear tires are Nitto 305/35-18 Drag Radials. I had 295/35-18 Goodyear GSD3's but they were nothing when put up against the 500 RWHP it was making.

Wife is so-so driving it. It's on a baseline tune so there's some quirks that make it uncomfortable at times. She's getting the hang of it though. Picked me up at work today so I could go to the doc with her......that was the suck being a passenger in my own car.

Plans for the Trans Am is to start working on it in the very near future. First order of business is going to be to get the K-Member and A-Arms swapped out, then I'll start wiring the XFI in (though a swap to sell that and get the EFI Connection LS1 computer/coil pack setup is a thought) before I drop the motor in.

Motor shots (there's really not much to see:

This shows the T-Fitting I used for the manual boost controller:

Here's a general pic:

Only difference is that I swapped to a 97-98 fuel rail so there's two lines on the rail now.

If for any reason you still have more bugs to work out on the Vette after the dyno, since it sounds like you are FINALLY committing to the Firebird, does this mean the Vette will stay on hold with the bugs, and you'll get the Trans Am up and rumbling???

BTW, you're camera takes the same quality mine does. If the vid turned out that way and was taken from your video camera, I would go back to its original recording source (CD or video tape), and then look for a better place to host the vid. A lot of places like photobucket buffers vids WAY down and kills the quality.

streetfire is pretty good for example.

No, if there's bugs with the vette they will be worked first. I'm talking bugs preventing the car from being done. Things like new inlet pipe, BOV's, ect, can wait. But if something is fubar then it's getting fixed.

The vid for the camera direct recording to the memory stick is crap. A minute isn't even six megs if that tells you anything. I know what I'm doing with it, I just chose to play with the crap settings because it's something new and I wanted to see how it does.

Very nice car. With our kid though its the V for my second car and DD combo...Wish it was a vette though.

The V ain't bad though. I'd actually consider one if I have to toss the Vette for some reason, but it's just WAY too small inside for me.

Nice! Reminds me of last weekend when a guy I know pulled up in his 1100rwhp(through an auto) 03 cobra and nobody thought much of it, sounds sooooo tame. I love sleepers!

I understand the idea behind them. To me, unless you're in it for the money, and to be sneaky, being a sleeper is pointless.

Who wants a car that doesn't sound, look, or cry out to the world "I am the fastes Mo Fo on the street". Now thats what I always wanted

But to each his own...

And Sean, you definatly have achieved sleeper with your Vette.

killer Sean!
i too love a good sleeper, actually wanted to try and keep my Z as one but with the current plans underway (yes, my build is FINALLY starting) it will be hard...

A Vette in the same color and the same wheels passes me each morning in the opposite direction on the highway. I can only imagine how much better it would look blowing off the tires at 90mph!
