Has anyone tried an opti off of ebay? These seem to cheap to be any good. I'm going to have to replace mine soon, I think and was wandering if anyone has had any luck with these.

It says they are made by an OEM manufacture, but never really says that they are OEM. And further down the listing, it says he sales genuine AC Delco Opti's for a higher price.

DO NOT buy any Ebay optis unless its from "thepartsladi"....

All other optis are cheap knockoffs.... You will regret it soon after buying and installing...

EDIT : I think I saw recently that someone is going after the same guy you posted (allignition) for selling bad parts, dont know how thats going to go down though...

I looked up thepartsladi. It says her optis are made by Delphi? Is that OEM? I thought they were AC Delco like everything else is.

there is a possible class action lawsuit that may be started against all_ignition

I bought my opti from thepartsladi on ebay and havent had a problem. As far as I know, thats the cheapest place to get an OEM opti.

I wouldn't buy anything off of ebay with electronics in it. I've heard a few ebay opti horror stories. Bought 2 optis from Autozone, one with a GM cap and the other with MSD cap, no problems.

I can't say I'd cheap out on a opti. Delco or MSD for me.

so does thepartsladi not sell optis for 93&94 though? when mine failed and i started thinking retardedly and instead of replacing my 140k opti, i just changed the cap and rotor first to see if it was alright (which was a terrible idea and miserably failed), i looked to replace the whole thing from that seller, but i just couldnt find anything...
yeah, im a retard...i know :D

Yeah, I'm going to go with AC Delco. thepartsladi sells them too.

I just hate to spend a ton of money on it because I'm not totally sure if that's my problem or not. Wild goose hunts suck :asshole:.

There was a guy I was talking to (Jarrett was his name if I remember correctly) that bought one of their optis and as far as I know, hasn't had any problems with them.

To the OP:

It's better to be safe than sorry on this issue. Just buy the AC Delco and have piece of mind. That's well worth the extra $$$ if you ask me.
