So it started as a faint "clicking" noise that decreased with speed that I would barely hear when coming to a stop, then shortly after a clutch dump at a stoplight, a really bad vibration under the car when accellerating. Right after that, on the highway, going ~70 I could just hear a "grinding" noise that made me think the rear end was crying bye bye.

But, I get it home, leave to go to work, and I am hearing extremely loud CLUNKing from under the car along with an extreme vibration, I could not drive over 30mph...sounds and feels as if the whole drivetrain is going to break off from underneath the car and fall out!

I thought maybe U-joints...I pulled the driveshaft and they seem to be perfectly fine, still have grease, no looseness...

?????????

-There is none of this at idle or revving when stopped
-Only does it in gear while moving
-If the trans is in nuetral while im moving, it stops and is normal
-If I press in the clutch while moving, it stops and is normal
-The vibration/clunking increases with vehicle speed
-If I touch the gas while moving the vibration is even worse

-The vibration and noise is so bad that the car is not driveable!

Everything you described screams U joints! I'm not qualified to give advise about transmissions. If you just let the clutch out enough to move the car forward and back does it clunk with a metalic sound like a light tap from a hammer on the DS. If so I'd replace the U joints, maybe with the DS out of the car your not able to put enough stress on em to feel the slop.:hmm:

I'd replace the u-joints anyway, then have the driveshaft checked for balance. It could be a bearing on the tranny output shaft going out. Hope it's not that.
