I know you use ATF, but I'm curious to what kind everyone is using and why (if you have a reason).

GM Syncromesh transmission fluid.
I have tried many different fluids in my Cobra's T56 and it shifts the best with syncromesh.
Stay away from royal purple and redline. It has been rumored that they cause the material on the blocker rings to swell and have I'll effects on the trans and shifting.

Mobil 1 ATF. It was recommended by Six Speeds Inc, who built my tranny.

Is the Mobile 1 synthetic?
I've heard something about synthetics not being good on stock trannys, is that true?

I've heard that too. For a stock tranny, I would just go with GM recommended Dextron III.
The Mobil 1 ATF is synthetic, but my tranny isn't stock.

A very good friend of mine told me to use a 70/30 mix of Castrol Synthetic blend and synthetic trans fluid from Lucas Oil (70 on the Castrol/30 on the Lucas).
My friends name... Forest Lucas.
