96 wheel into 97 car?

OK, so my Formula didn't come with radio buttons. I found a wheel with them from a 96- any big issues swapping it? I have a wheel puller so that's no biggie. Do you just disconnect the airbag and put it in the new wheel? What about the radio connections- will I have to run any wires since my car didn't originally come with buttons on the wheel? I have a Subaru WRX stereo in the car, so I'm sure I'll have to find a way to make the buttons talk to the stereo, but that I can figure out (I think, lol).

that is gonna be a tough thing to do :( i doubt that they came with wires already but you MIGHT get lucky

Hmm, I thought the wires might be there. I know that on a lot of cars, optional equipment wiring is there so they don't need to build more than one wiring harness for the same car. I know that my car didn't originally come with a power antenna, but I put one in and the wiring was there....

I have a '97 and I have an extra wire harness behind the radio that doesn't plug into anything. I've been told that it was supposed to be for the optional sterring wheel controls. Don't know if that helps, but that's all I got.
