i voted steel cause steel is generally the stronger metal of the 2 but either way both are at risk atleast you have a back up if one goes.

Are they both balanced well? Generally the steel ones fall out of balance more often (mainly because they are older) and I would never go down the track with one like that..
In terms of launching harder, I'd go out with the steel one. I've seen some ls1 aluminums torn apart from the launch
And post results when you get home, please.

Well the fastest i went this weekend was a 11.64 @ 119 with a 1.69 60 FT. With the stock steel drive shaft. I will be buying a safty loop for the next race just to be safe. i ended up like 4th out of 12 cars.

Sorry but I do not have any videos only time slips. The type of compition i was up agianst was a couple of fox body's three ls1 firbirds a 240z with a small block chevy an el comino and a clean 67 mustang fast back. The class is called e-gas it is a heads up 11.60 index wich means who can get cloest to 11.60 with out going faster. I lost in the second round to the 240 only because my lean saftey switch came on due to two much bottle pressure(1050). But i would rather be able to drive home and loose, than win and have to a put new short block in it. you guys can check exactly what car where involed at www.westcoasthotrod.com (http://www.westcoasthotrod.com) under e-gas.
