4.10's...oh man!

Ever since ive done my 6-spped swap almost two years ago. Ive been riding on the stock 3.23's from my a4. I went and picked up some 4.10's and my car feels so much quicker which is to be expected but damn Im going to have to buy a shift light!. I stomped on it in 1st gear and watched the rpms come up so fast i missed 2nd gear and that almost something I never do. just wanted to share the feeling. I dont know what the heck ive been waiting for. I guess now I'll get my butt deep in the 12's . With the old 3.23's I was doing 13.15's and sometie witha head wind 12.9's. Now I should be there all the time. :cool:

4.10 is a nice upgrade for an M6 car, but be careful with that stock 10 bolt

LOL it's a great feeling but don't get greedy as you will find yourself buying new gears soon.
When i got my 4.10s the launch was soooooo much more! i did let it go to my head as i heard words from Shon Herron "launch it off the limiter" so i lit the bulbs up staged at 6000 and fortunately the guy beside me took forever to stage, i thought about it and dropped the RPM down to 3000 then hooked sooo hard it caused the car to bogg and slip(fry) the clutch sadly enough i was thinkin what a chicken shit i was but hey i also was able to drive home...LOL

Love my 4.10's! Its perfect to a street car that will trap anywhere from 105-115. You can always put a little taller tire on if you run out of RPM!

And I couldnt imagine rowing through a six speed with 3.23's haha. You could cruise at 100mph at 2100 rpm lol.

I had 2.73's when I did my 6 speed swap. I don't think I ever saw 6th gear :laugh:

How are those gears for street driving? I'm in the same boat, 3.23's after a M6 swap (been almost 3 years now). I was thinking 3.73's for mine though.

I wasnt that bad with 3.23's. Gas mileage was pretty good qwith the mods done to the car. 70mph was like at 1300 recorded by datamaster. But now....my gas mileage has gone to shit. Time for some datalogging/tuning.:)

glad you like them though, i just purchased 3.90 gear and a new eaton.
