hey i was just wondering what the best way to apply wax by hand is. is it better to do tight circles or just back and forth motions?

what type of wax are you using??? but overlapping circles are good for the cream type makes sure you get all of the surface.

i've heard back and forth motions for darker colors, but i don't see where it'd really matter...it's all the same paint right?

I've heard this too, however as long as everything gets covered your just going to be removing 90% of it so I don't really think it matters.

FWIW, I only use the absolute minimum amount to get the paint covered. You don't waste as much, and it's much easier to get off. Again you are wiping most of the wax you apply off. I use a wax applicator pad and wet it then apply light coat.
